Getting Started with SupaSidebar

SupaSidebar is a productivity sidebar for macOS that keeps your files, folders, and browser tabs organized in one place.

Download & Install

Option 1: Direct Download

  1. Visit supasidebar.com  and click Download.
  2. Open the .dmg file and drag SupaSidebar into your Applications folder.
  3. Launch SupaSidebar from Launchpad or Spotlight.

If you see a macOS security warning, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Allow Anyway.

Option 2: Homebrew

brew install --cask supasidebar

After installing, SupaSidebar’s guided onboarding walks you through permissions, sidebar placement, and feature selection based on your goals. You can also grant Permissions manually at any time.

Interface Overview

  • Sidebar Panel - Your central workspace with Recents, Favorites, and Spaces
  • Search Bar - Find any saved item instantly with Cmd Ctrl K
  • Spaces - Organize items into themed collections
  • Favorites - Pin frequently accessed files and links
  • Recents - Automatically tracks items from the past 48 hours
