Beta Updates
Beta updates let you try new features before they reach everyone. Beta builds ship more often and may be less stable than the regular (stable) release.
Beta updates are a Pro feature. They’re available only with an active paid license - not during the free trial. If you revert to the free tier, beta updates turn off automatically.
Turning beta updates on
- Open Preferences → About → Updates.
- Toggle Beta Updates on.
SupaSidebar checks for a beta right away and, from then on, offers beta releases as they ship.
Turning beta updates off
When you turn Beta Updates off, SupaSidebar stops offering betas - but it does not move you back down a version. You keep the build you’re currently on until a stable release catches up to it, at which point you’re updated to stable automatically.
To return to the stable version right now, download and reinstall SupaSidebar from supasidebar.com . Auto-update can’t move you to an older version.
Reverting to the free tier
If your license lapses or you switch back to the free tier, beta updates are turned off automatically and SupaSidebar returns to the stable channel. You keep your current build until stable catches up, exactly as above.
