License issues
Most license problems are solved by a restart, or by freeing a device slot from the Manage License page on the web.
License deactivation is web-only. There is no in-app deactivate button - all device management happens through the Manage License page on supasidebar.com.
Try a restart first
A quick restart clears most transient activation issues.
- Quit SupaSidebar (right-click the menu bar icon -> Quit).
- Reopen the app.
If the license is still flagged after a restart, continue below.
Free a device slot from Manage License
Use this if you reinstalled SupaSidebar, replaced your Mac, or hit the device limit. You don’t need access to the old Mac - everything happens in your browser.
- Open the Manage License page on supasidebar.com.
- Sign in with the email you used at purchase.
- Remove the device you no longer need.
- On the Mac where you want to activate, open SupaSidebar and paste your license key when prompted.
Moving to a new Mac
- On the new Mac: install SupaSidebar from supasidebar.com .
- Paste your license key when prompted.
- If activation fails because the old Mac is still using the slot, open Manage License and remove the old device.
You don’t need to do anything on the old Mac. License deactivation only happens on the web.
Common activation errors
If activation fails, the error message usually points to one of these causes:

| Invalid license key | The key has a typo or extra whitespace. | Copy-paste from your purchase email - don’t retype. |

| License revoked | The license was disabled (refund, chargeback, or compromise). | Email admin@supasidebar.com if this is unexpected. |
BundleHunt customers
If you bought SupaSidebar through BundleHunt, your license key is in your BundleHunt order email, not from SupaSidebar. Search your inbox for “supasidebar” or “BundleHunt order” to find the key. Use the email tied to your BundleHunt order on the Manage License page.
Discount and promo codes
Licenses bought with a discount code behave exactly the same as full-price ones - same Manage License page, same device limit. The discount only affects the price.
